Request QuoteWhat are honeycomb panels?
Honeycomb panels consist of stiff, thin outer skins and a honeycomb cell core bonded between them. Both the outer skins and the core material can be tailored to customer requirements, including panel thickness, dimensions, and the integration of inserts if needed. This sandwich structure results in a panel with a very high strength-to-weight ratio, making composite honeycomb panels ideal for applications where rigidity, dimensional stability, and weight reduction are critical.
Advantages of sandwich panels
Lightweight and rigid structures
Allows for curved geometries
Excellent moisture and corrosion resistance
Available honeycomb core materials
Honeycomb core materials are available in Nomex and aluminum (most commonly alloy 3003) versions. The size and thickness of the panels can be customized flexibly according to the customer’s specific requirements and specifications.

Selection of materials for cover sheets
The material options for face sheets cover a wide range, depending on the application. From commonly used glass fiber or carbon fiber sandwich panels to Kevlar or eco-friendly flax fiber solutions, we can manufacture the desired structure in almost any configuration.
Cut and fold technique
We use this simple method to create complex, angled shapes from honeycomb panels. Sections of the facing material (e.g., carbon or glass fiber) are removed to a calculated width based on panel thickness. The panels can then be folded into the desired shape and bonded together. This approach requires no tooling or jigs, and the cuts can be easily automated.
Structural analysis of sandwich structures
Structural simulations of honeycomb sandwich panels utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate load-bearing capacity and predict critical failure modes. Key focus areas include debonding (skin-to-core separation) typically modeled via Cohesive Zone Modeling (CZM), and core crushing, which simulates the non-linear collapse of cell walls under compression.
Machining and other services
In addition to manufacturing standard panels, we offer custom sizes and layering configurations, strength calculations and CNC machining.
